He founded Guiding Beam in 2024, at the start of the rapid rise of large language models and agentic AI. His belief: AI agents will transform how enterprises work and manage information. And—they'll need their own high-performance AI infrastructure to get there.

For the previous 16 years, he served as co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Spectral AI (NASDAQ: MDAI), where he led the development of DeepView® from concept through FDA Breakthrough Device designation and FDA De Novo clearance, secured more than $250 million in U.S. federal funding from HHS/BARDA, NSF, NIH, DoD/DHA and DoD/MTEC, led the company's 2021 IPO on the London Stock Exchange, and directed its 2023 transition to the Nasdaq Global Market.

Earlier, he developed one of the world's first pixel-level HDR imaging sensor SoCs for autonomous driving at Sensata Technologies (NYSE: ST), advanced broadband wireless at Navini Networks (acquired by Cisco), and was an early core member of PureSpeech Inc., acquired by Philips Speech Processing.

He holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University, where he serves on the College of Engineering Industry Advisory Board, and a B.S. from Tsinghua University in Beijing.

He spent nine years at Admera Health, an advanced genomics company, progressing from product management to Director of Marketing (doubling year over year revenue), and then into executive leadership in five years, including service as VP and Interim CEO. He helped lead restructuring and operational turnaround efforts, improving operating margins from -85% to +16%, and supported resolution of significant legal and compliance matters.

He has led initiatives across AI-enabled precision oncology, AI-based genomic interpretation, molecular diagnostics, and regulated healthcare technology — translating advanced technical platforms into commercially viable products and operating models.

He holds an MBA from Boston University and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Colorado State University.

He has held senior leadership positions at Microsoft, Affirmed Networks, Airvana, Philips Medical Systems, Sycamore Networks, and Cisco Systems, leading large-scale testing, validation, automation and quality assurance for products supporting global telecommunications networks, enterprise infrastructure, healthcare systems, and cloud platforms.

His expertise spans the full software development lifecycle — quality strategy, test automation, CI/CD transformation, process optimization, and quality governance — with a record of transforming testing operations through automation and data-driven quality management in highly regulated environments.

He served as an Associate in Research at Harvard University's Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies, and holds a Ph.D. and B.A. from Fudan University in Shanghai and an M.S. in Information Resources Management from Syracuse University.

He currently serves as Chief Technology Officer of Zhiwei Electronics, guiding technology strategy and new product development for energy metering ICs, power-line communication ICs, and automation breaker control MCUs.

As General Manager of Cirrus Wind Energy in Texas, he oversaw wind farm operations and investments and engaged in power market operations — experience that will directly support Guiding Beam's energy requirements as the company builds out its own computing facilities.

Earlier he held senior technical and product leadership roles at China State Grid/Xuji Group — as Distinguished Specialist and Chief Engineer of AMI — and at On-Bright Electronics as Director of New Product Development. He spent nearly a decade at Texas Instruments in Dallas as Operations Manager for the automotive audio product line, covering production test, sustaining engineering, DFT definition and real-time quality control.

He holds a Master's in Analog IC Design from Texas A&M University and both a Master's and Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University.
